Contact
For this site: [email protected]. Corrections are the most useful message anyone sends. The castle changes its closing time with the season, the demonstration programme moves between one year and the next, a car park tariff can change, and a listing can be edited between one week and the next. If you have been and found something different from what a page here says, say so and it gets changed. If you need the castle itself, its own details are further down this page.
What this site can answer
Questions about the visit, and about what a listing includes. Most of it is already written: tickets and 2026 prices, the hours season by season, how to reach the village, where to park, and all six listings with the two lists each of them publishes. What this site cannot do is sell you anything: it is a guide, not the castle and not a tour operator.
Bookings made through this site
A tour booked through a link here is a booking with GetYourGuide, and the confirmation e-mail carries the route to their support for changes, cancellations and refunds. This site cannot amend or cancel a booking. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before is the stated policy on all six listings, and the widget shows the terms that apply to the date you choose.
The castle itself
These are the Château de Castelnaud’s own contact details, not this site’s. Use them for anything only the castle can answer — a group booking, the day’s demonstration times, whether a room or an activity is running on the date you are coming, a school or knights’ school enquiry, or a question about its tariff. The castle also sells its own admission, which is not sold on any booking platform.
- Château de Castelnaud — 24250 Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Dordogne, France, about nine kilometres from Sarlat-la-Canéda.
- The castle’s telephone — +33 5 53 31 30 00.
- The castle’s e-mail — [email protected].
- The castle’s website — castelnaud.com, where its hours, its tariff and its activities programme are published, and where its entry ticket is sold.
Individuals do not reserve at all: the castle opens every day of the year, last admission an hour before closing, and takes visitors as they come. The visit, explained.
